WHOLESALERS

Wholesalers were those who plays as a middleman between the retailer and producer or manufacturer of the product.  The process of distribution is the role undertaken by the wholesalers, buying quantities in bulk from the manufacturers and sell them in smaller quantities to the retailers or may also directly to the customers, sometimes they can also manufacture their own brands as their wish.

TYPES OF WHOLESALERS

MERCHANT WHOLESALERS:

• Merchant wholesalers are the general wholesalers used in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industries like vegetables or agricultural industries. 
• They directly buy from the manufacturers, stores it in warehouses and sell them to the customers. Generally, the losses arises during this process must be borne by the merchant wholesalers.

 FULL-SERVICE WHOLESALERS – RETAIL WHOLESALERS:

• Full-time wholesalers are mostly engaged in Consumer durables or Engineering products. They provide their entire service to the retailer during the complete process.
• The wholesaler is solely responsible for the whole distribution process of that particular product which he undertakes to distribute completely.

LIMITED-SERVICE WHOLESALERS:

• The process is nothing but the wholesalers who stores the products of the company and sell them only in a limited channel.
• It is like the company approaches the wholesaler as to distribute their product only via online express the Limited-service wholesalers.

 BROKERS AND AGENTS:

• These types of wholesalers are generally known in real estate industries. He connects the manufacturer or producer and buyer on the other end managing smooth flow with both sides.
• The risk for Broker and Agents are less. The process is very simple as they must complete the deal between producer and buyer, and he will get commission for the process he done.

 SPECIALITY WHOLESALERS:

• They refers to the Wholesalers managing specific industry or product.
• And the wholesalers must be knowledgeable at the product in which they are handling.

DROP SHIPPER WHOLESALERS:

• Drop shipper wholesalers are those who contains the distribution process without storing it any storage warehouses.
• It must be the process of exchanging products without handling the stock on hand.
