ARTIFICIAL RAIN AT KANPUR

Did anyone heard about Artificial Rain?

Here comes, scientists from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology-KANPUR) have tested the experiment Artificial raining, the process named cloud seeding on 21st June 2023. The experiment is headed by Professor Manindra Agrawal and the experiment was conducted with the approval from the DGCA.

CLOUD SEEDING:

The process of spraying Potassium iodide and Silver iodide into the clouds with the help of Aircraft creates precipitation on the clouds and turns into artificial rain.

IIT-KANPIUR EXPERIMENT ON ARTIFICIAL RAIN:

IN THIS CASE, the scientists of IIT-KANPUR have successfully completed the process after 6 years of research and hard work. The experiment has been conducted only after receiving an approval from DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).

On 21st June 2023, from the institute’s airstrip, a plane at the height of 5000 feet sprays Silver and Potassium Iodide. That creates heavy rain in the specific area. And thus, leads to the success of their project.

This will be a next step of technology that has been successfully completed by our IIT Scientists. It will be the big hope for the UTTAR PRADESH government to overcome their problems in the AGRICULTURAL FIELD.

‘Our Capabilities in this direction have been successfully tested’ - MANINDRA AGARWAL, professor, department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT-KANPUR.

Welcoming and encouraging the inventions and experiments of new projects and processes will be more result in the development and growth of our country’s economy as well as the resources.
